Indulge in refreshing cocktails from the Botanicals Bar and prepare for Noosa’s latest addition to the culinary calendar.
From 18-20 August, Noosa will be celebrating the rich heritage and unique ingredients that have been part of its history for thousands of years. This culinary adventure, styled in the distinctive Junction manner, will feature a menu that honours native and wild ingredients, their producers, and their storied origins.
This makes it a great weekend to book a BBQ Pontoon cruise or jet ski adventure at Terrace Marina. Novices and experts alike can rent a vessel of their choice and set sail on the calm waters. Guided tours are available for those unfamiliar with the waters, offering a chance to learn about the local marine life, history, and landmarks. For those who prefer a more hands-on experience, kayaking and paddle boarding provide an intimate encounter with the water, allowing participants to navigate the marina’s nooks and crannies at their own pace.
Take in the incredible beauty of Noosa’s diverse waterways and natural environment. Relax and recharge, embrace the surroundings, developing a timeless sense of place. A distinct place you can taste at Noosa’s newest culinary event celebrating local producers.
Judi Lalor, the event director and PR manager for the Noosa Junction Association, expressed her excitement about the inaugural BackstrEATS Bush and Botanicals food weekend this August. She highlighted the participation of Paul Iskov, the Executive Chef of Fervor, who is fondly referred to as the Culinary ‘Yoda’ and is renowned for his pop-up dining experiences.
Paul, originally from the western part of the country, will collaborate with local chefs, mixologists, farmers, and producers from various establishments, including Herbert, Vanilla Food, Galeru Forever Fruits, Jarrah Boy, Noosa Natives, Wild Venison, Season’s IGA Noosa, Something Wild, Konpira Maru Wine Company and The Noosa Culinary Academy.
Judi invites everyone to experience the Junction BackstrEATS Bush and Botanicals weekend programme, which promises a gastronomic journey around Noosa Junction. From 18-20 August, attendees can look forward to a diverse range of experiences, whether they prefer outdoor or indoor settings, large gatherings or intimate ones. The event promises to be a treat for the senses, with the vibrant street art of Ngudjlaa Arts serving as a backdrop, accompanied by music, cocktails, lagers and Australian wines. As a bonus, attendees stand a chance to win a luxurious staycation at the 5-star Noosa RACV resort.
